Photo Essay 1

This series of photographs was taken at Nymore Beach Park in Bemidji, MN.

The first photograph illustrates the beauty of the natural environment. The dirt surrounding the tree has been naturally worn away over time by the movement of the water from the lake. There is nothing but harmony and peace and quiet. This photo was taken with an ISO of 400 with an 18-55mm lens.

This next photograph depicts the changes that come about when humans move into the natural environment. Pathways are built, poles are shoved into the ground, and of course trashcans are placed, because everyone knows that where there are humans, there will be trash. This photo was taken at ISO 220.

Sooner or later the trash will fail to make it to its proper place of disposal and it will find a resting place where ever the wind or water places it. This photo was taken at ISO 450.

Over time, if humans are allowed to continue to intrude on the nature world without being careful, scenes like in this next photograph will become all too common to see. Trash and the leftovers of human presence will be everywhere. When will it stop? This photo was taken at ISO 450.
